Air France-KLM is main airways in France and Netherland. Like other airlines KLM offers several benefits for the frequent travelers. KLM’s frequent flyer program or FFP is known as Flying Blue.
Flying Blue provides unique facilities in each of its four stages of membership, namely, Ivory, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The hues on the Flying Blue membership cards depict the stage a member is in. The stage of membership is based on the number of miles a passenger has earned. Each stage provides facilities that not only cover the privileges of the lower stages but also comprise additional facilities that are valid from that stage onwards. Passengers may climb the rungs of the Flying Blue ladder by simply traveling extra miles.
In this program the frequent passengers’ accrued points are known as Level Miles (Ivory, Silver, Gold and Platinum) and Award Miles, which can be saved for various benefits including free air travel, discounted car rentals, buying duty-free items in flight, hotel stays, airport lounge access or priority booking.
Every membership level except Ivory provides the passengers with an increasing amount of rewards including precedence boarding and excess baggage allowance, Skyteam Elite status with Skyteam partner airlines, Skyteam Elite Plus status anddomestic First Class when flying with Northwest Airlines within United States and Canada.
